To summary, we are interested in III-V quantum dots, i.e. quantum dots made of InAs embedded in GaAs, as source of single photons and also as a source of entangled photon pairs. Ideally, we are hoping that the photons coming out of the dots will be close to being indistinguishable. AS for the pair of photons, we are hoping that we would have a control over the emission of the pairs which would be without precedent so far for sources of photon pairs.

For that we will follow the proposal by Simon and Poizat for the creation of time-bin entangled photons [1].
