Doctoral thesis (Dissertation)

My thesis (in German with a short english abstract) contains nearly all of the work on the Bell experiment with independent observers. Feel free to download and read (PDF, 2.7MB) it. Please report any errors you find in my work (typos, math errors,...), because I'm afraid many have escaped the proofreading process.

Quite a few years have passed since I wrote my thesis but nevertheless, it still seems to be the only Bell experiment with fast switching in the literature. My friends in Geneva, Wolfgang Tittel and Hugo Zbinden (in the group of Prof. Nicolas Gisin) have stretched the spatial extent to insane lengths and have employed moving detectors to test for preferred frames. The detection loophole has (IMHO) been closed by the trapped ion experiment performed in Boulder, but not everybody agrees on that :o)
