A link to my short biography can be found here.

My research is on harnessing quantum physics for information processing, with particular focus on:

  • the power and limitations of quantum computation
  • cryptographic tools that will be secure in a world with quantum technologies
  • applying tools from computer science to advance the implementation of quantum information processing
  • My publications can be found here.

I am very fortunate to be surrounded by many outstanding colleagues at IQC and PI, researching the foundations, applications and implementations of quantum information processing, and working with other distinguished researchers in related areas such as cryptography. This makes Waterloo a wonderful research and learning environment for students and postdoctoral fellows.

Information on how to apply for positions in my group or with others at IQC is available here.
